Attic Sealing

One of the most common misconceptions about home comfort and energy efficiency is that an attic simply needs insulation to reduce energy consumption and make the home more comfortable. 

While insulation is extremely important, it's crucial that attic sealing (air sealing) take place in the attic prior to the installation of insulation. Most types of insulation aren't meant to be an air barrier, so if air is allowed to enter the insulation, it will simply blow right through and escape into the unconditioned attic.
