"The Difference between Fiberglass and Cellulose Insulation"

The following video was taken to demonstrate the difference in performance between fiberglass and cellulose insulation. Viewers will notice is that cellulose insulation is a much more effective barrier to heat and air movement.

An informational video that demonstrates how foam insulation and cellulose insulation perform when exposed to an ignition source. Its purpose is to provide an example of how each material would perform in a house or building fire. The results show that foam insulation is extremely flammable in comparison to cellulose insulation, a material that has built-in fire-retardant properties.

AppleBlossom Energy frequently works on weatherization projects for multi-family residences in North Carolina. Here is an example of how our company can transform a complex of apartment buildings or townhomes from Durham, NC. To make the homes more energy efficient and to provide a healthier, more comfortable living atmosphere our team installed premium cellulose insulation in attics, repaired insulation in crawl spaces, and air sealed to reduce 50% of air leakage.

When AppleBlossom energy had the opportunity to take over a new headquarters last year we decided to take on the challenge to demonstrate sustainability and develop our new office space into an energy efficient commercial building. Using green building technologies and sustainable materials such as cellulose insulation, made from recycled materials, and floorcoverings made using sequestered energy from a landfill, we are  on our way to becoming a zero net energy building...
