AppleBlossom is your “go-to” source for quality building insulation since 2006. Our experienced and trained crews install insulation in both existing homes and new construction. AppleBlossom’s installation crews are trained using Building Performance Institute (BPI) air-sealing protocols. Blocking air-infiltration between conditioned and unconditioned spaces is crucial before insulation is installed.
AppleBlossom specializes in cellulose insulation. Our expert installers can correctly apply stabilized cellulose in attics and apply dense-pack cellulose in wall cavities and on sloped surfaces. Our fleet of dedicated vehicles are specially equipped to blow quality cellulose insulation into most any structure. We can also accommodate projects requiring blown fiberglass insulation.
We install insulation in most areas of North Carolina, northern areas of South Carolina and southern areas of Virginia and West Virginia.
At AppleBlossom, we're passionate about making a difference and committed to helping provide a warm, comfortable home for all - while conserving energy and generating cost savings for homeowners.
We guarantee our clients will see savings of 20-40% on their energy bills once they've implemented a custom solution for their home using our superior insulation products and customized solutions.
We offer a wide range of traditional and newer, more eco-friendly products that can be employed to meet any clients' needs. Our products include:
- Apple Blossom's Eco-Friendly Cellulose - Cellulose is the greenest insulation available today. It contains up to 65 times less embodied energy than foam.
- Cellulose Insulation - Cellulose insulation is plant fiber used in wall and roof cavities to separate the inside and outside of the building thermally and acoustically.
- Dynamic Cellulose - This material was developed during a joint project with DOE’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). It is a 20% blend of microencapsulated Phase Change Material (PCM) and cellulose insulation. As shown below, it doesn’t require any additional equipment to install.
- Reflective Barriers - Spray on radiant barriers lower the temperature in the attics in summer, and help to retain heat inside in the winter months. Call us for further explanation, and to find out why our spray o is superior to foil products.
- Fiberglass Insulation - A more traditional insulation choice, fiberglass insulation is a cost-effective, energy-saving product that is made from sand and recycled glass.
- Energy Audits - AppleBlossom Energy will provide a complimentary Energy Audit for your home or building in order to evaluate how best to improve both your energy and financial conservation.
- Energy Modeling Software - Simulation software supplies a nuanced view of a building’s dynamic thermal performance that enables engineers to select and size equipment that is smarter, smaller, and often less expensive than the norm.
- Inflector Energy Saving Window Treatment - Window treatments or coverings are not only for decoration but also for saving energy.
- Hydro-seeding Mulch - Create a green, landscaped appearance quickly with hydro-seeding mulch.
Benefits
Most building insulation is for thermal purposes, but insulation is often selected to accomplish multiple and important objectives:
- Decrease energy consumption.
- Reduce unwanted heat-gain or loss.
- Minimize the size of heating and cooling systems.
- Reduce air-infiltration.
- Provide good performance across a wide temperature range.
- Deliver thermal comfort for occupants.
- Reduce acoustical noise.
- Have good flammability ratings and avoid the release of toxic fumes if ignited.
- Durability and longevity.
- Requires less embodied energy during manufacturing.
- Produced with recycled materials and avoid toxic chemicals.
- Allows for quality, efficient and safe installation methods.
- Enables visible detection of potential pipe-leaks in ceiling and walls.
- Simplifies wall-cavity access to wiring and pipes.
